How to connect your waEV-charge EV1/EV1i charger to the WiFi network?
To connect your waEV-charge EV1/EV1i charger to the network, please follow below steps.
1. Click on the relevant app store link at the top of the page to download the waEV-charge Installer app.
2. Ensure the EV1/EV1i/EV1s charger is powered on and open the Installer App.
3. Click on Installer Setup.
4. Select the CPID which corresponds with the EV1/EV1i/EV1s outer case label - example: WAEV120100
5. Once connected, you will see confirmation in the bottom status box.
6. Click on ‘WiFi Setup’ and wait for the available WiFi networks (in range) to be displayed. (Please ensure this is a 2.4GHz band network)
7. Select the customers WiFi network and enter password, click OK. You will see ‘set success’ to confirm this has been updated.
8. Once the EV1/EV1i/EV1s has successfully connected to the WiFi, you will see confirmation in app and the charger LED will flash 4 times.
9. Click reboot followed by OK, the EV1/EV1i/EV1s charger will now reboot.
10. Once rebooted, wait 1-2 mins for the charger to connect to the WiFi network then open the ev.energy commissioning portal to complete onboarding,
Once you’ve done this and if you haven’t already, download the ev.energy app and tap on “Create an account” to follow the onboarding process. If you already have an account, please tap on “Log in”. The app will guide you through the process of adding your car, charger, home address and energy supplier. On the charger page, we will need to assign the charger to your account. Just reach out to support@ev.energy by email or through the app, and provide us with the email address used to create the ev.energy account, your charger serial number and home address. We will set this up, and let you know once it is connected so you can start using all the benefits of the ev.energy app!
