Other commonly asked questions

Does my vehicle need to be integrated with waEV-smart?

No. Vehicle integration is optional. However, integrating your vehicle allows waEV-smart to read the vehicle state of charge directly, meaning you can set a target battery percentage rather than selecting a specific kWh amount.

How do waEV-smart rewards work?

waEV-smart rewards are based on the number of eligible smart charging sessions completed each month. Currently, customers completing 3 charge sessions or more will receive £5, 15 charge sessions or more will receive £10, and 30 charge sessions or more will receive £15. Customers must also have a compatible SMETS2 smart meter installed and be on an eligible dual rate tariff to qualify for rewards. Rewards are not guaranteed and are subject to change. waEV-Smart reserves the right to change the amount of rewards at any time via email notice to you.

What if my firmware update fails?

Please ensure your charger is connected to WiFi, your phone remains nearby during the update and you wait the full 5 minutes after confirmation. If issues persist, please contact waEV-charge support.

What happens if the consumer unit fails after the 12-month warranty?

You can either contact ourselves or a local electrician to replace the breaker. If via ourselves this would cost a one-time £120 +VAT fee which includes parts and labour.
