The charger is not connecting to the customers WiFi, what should I do?

If not connecting straight away, please reset the charger as well as close down and restart  the waEV-charge installer app, you should now be able to connect to the relevant WiFi connection.

Does my vehicle need to be integrated with waEV-smart?

No. Vehicle integration is optional. However, integrating your vehicle allows waEV-smart to read the vehicle state of charge directly, meaning you can set a target battery percentage rather than selecting a specific kWh amount.

What is a Dual Rate tariff?

A Dual Rate tariff has separate daytime and nighttime electricity rates. waEV-smart will automatically aim to charge your vehicle during the cheaper off-peak periods.

Can I change my charging schedule later?

Yes. Charging schedules and preferences can be updated within the app at any time.

What is a Standard Install, and what does it cover?

Standard installation covers installation of your waEV-charge EV charger on a brick or plaster wall, a maximum run of 10m of cable from the wall-mounted position to your consumer unit (fuse box), with no civil or remedial electrical work required.

How do I set my charging schedule?

During setup, you can configure an Auto Schedule by selecting your required battery percentage and desired ready-by time.
