What is the difference between the EV1i and EV1s?

The EV1i is a tethered EV charger meaning it comes with a 5-meter cable attached to plug into your car. The EV1s is untethered meaning you are able to connect your own charging cable. The EV1s does not come with a charging cable.

How secure are waEV-charge EV chargers?

The waEV-charge EV chargers can only be operated once the unique RFID waEV-Card is swiped or ev.energy smart charging app is activated therefore you’re fully protected from unauthorised use.

The charger is not connecting to the customers WiFi, what should I do?

If not connecting straight away, please reset the charger as well as close down and restart  the waEV-charge installer app, you should now be able to connect to the relevant WiFi connection.

Do I need permissions to install an EV charger?

If the route of cabling or the charger location crosses any boundary lines that are not owned by yourself, permissions would be needed from the relevant authority for it to be installed.

Yes, 0% finance is available for EV chargers, but it applies only to installed chargers rather than charger-only purchases. To qualify, the total cost of the installed charger must meet the minimum loan amount of £250, and a 10% deposit is required upfront.
