What is the difference between the EV1i and EV1s?

The EV1i is a tethered EV charger meaning it comes with a 5-meter cable attached to plug into your car. The EV1s is untethered meaning you are able to connect your own charging cable. The EV1s does not come with a charging cable.

Do I need to change energy providers or be on a specific tariff for this to charge my car?

You do not need to be with any specific energy provider or tariff for your EV charger to work, it’s just advised to speak to your energy company as most offer off peak charging tariffs which can save you a significant amount in charging costs if utilised.

What happens if the consumer unit fails after the 12-month warranty?

You can either contact ourselves or a local electrician to replace the breaker. If via ourselves this would cost a one-time £120 +VAT fee which includes parts and labour.

What is a Standard Install, and what does it cover?

Standard installation covers installation of your waEV-charge EV charger on a brick or plaster wall, a maximum run of 10m of cable from the wall-mounted position to your consumer unit (fuse box), with no civil or remedial electrical work required.

When will my charger be installed?

Once your order has been placed, our bookings team will be in touch to confirm all information and pass to our installer partner to arrange a convenient day to install your charger. We aim to have all chargers installed within 2 weeks of your order being placed.

Can I have an EV charger for my apartment?

The waEV-charge EV chargers are suitable for both single domestic dwellings, apartment blocks and commercial environments. As standard, our EV1i charger is setup for single domestic properties however our UK based team will custom build your charger based on your requirement.
